The Spring School on “Give the Floor to the Child” is an intensive collaborative learning experience to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding of child participation in several contexts: education, child protection and research.
This event will takes place at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto from June 2 to 6.
PhD students and early career researchers are welcome. The Spring School is also intended to be a stimulating environment for exchanging research experiences and establishing networks. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss their research projects and improve their research competence. This Spring School will also create a unique interpersonal and cultural experience, gathering participants and tutors in the beautiful city of Porto.
All courses and workshops will be taught in English.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Spring School is accepting submissions until Febraury 22, 2025.
Prospective participants will be informed about the outcome of their application by February 28, 2025.
Who can apply?
PhD students and Early Career Researcher.
How to apply?
Applications must be submitted online: APPLICATION FORM.
Documents to be submitted:
1) Motivation letter (maximum two pages), including a statement on how participating in the Spring School will contribute to the applicant’s training, education, and research career;
2) Short narrative CV (maximum two pages):
3) Research project in which you are currently involved or would like to develop (maximum 3 pages), including:
- Title
- Keywords
- Background
- Research questions/objectives
- Methodology
- Expected results or impact/hypotheses
The applications will be evaluated based on the motivation letter.
Timeline:
Project submissions: until February 22
Acceptance: February 28
Registration: March
Registatrion fee
The cost per participant is 50€. This will cover the participation fee, lunches from to 2 to 5 June, and coffee breaks.
