From 2nd December, traders in Porto will have the opportunity to improve their business management through the OPORTONIDADE project, a pro bono initiative by FEP Junior Consulting (FJC), the student consultancy of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto. The project aims to support the growth of small businesses by providing tailored solutions in key areas such as finance, marketing, and logistics.

The project is designed for local traders facing challenges in managing their businesses who wish to implement practical and effective changes. For each enrolled trader, FEP Junior Consulting will assign two consultants each week to carry out a detailed diagnosis and develop solutions tailored to the specific needs of the business.

The initiative is partnered with the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, the Porto Traders Association, the Porto Commercial Association and FEP. The consulting process follows a structured approach, starting with an initial contact between FJC and the traders, followed by a week dedicated to consulting, a detailed analysis, and the preparation of a final report. The impact of the project will be assessed through a feedback form.

Registration for the project can be done here. The full project regulations are available for consultation.

With this initiative, FEP Junior Consulting reaffirms its commitment to the local community and to strengthening Porto’s economy, contributing to the sustainability and growth of the city’s small businesses.
