On October 28, at 5:30 p.m., FEP hosted the presentation and launch of the book “Crescimento Económico – Exercícios”. The book was written by Óscar Afonso, Paulo Beleza de Vasconcelos, Tiago Sequeira, Pedro Neves, Marcelo Santos, Joshua Duarte, Ana Sofia Monteiro, Pedro G. Lima and Derick Almeida, and the presentation was led by Professor Mário Rui Silva, retired professor at FEP.
With free admission, the event attracted the academic community and the general public, offering a valuable opportunity to discuss the contents of the book, which serves as an additional resource for students of Economic Growth. The book covers key topics, from neoclassical theory, including the Solow-Swan Model and its extensions, to endogenous growth approaches, such as AK models and the role of capital.
The launch of the book not only celebrates the authors’ research and knowledge, but also reinforces the importance of academic collaboration in producing materials that support the training of future economists. FEP continues to be a vital space for the development of knowledge and discussion on economic growth and its implications.
