On 11th March, the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) welcomed a delegation from the University of Alcalá, a partner institution of the EUGLOH network.

The University of Alcalá delegation included Luis Felipe Rivera (Dean for the Faculty of Business), Jorge Pérez (Vice President for Undergraduate Studies), Ignacio Bravo (Director for Internationalisation), and Julio Cañero Serrano (Vice-Rector for International Relations).

During the visit, strategic initiatives were discussed, including the development of joint programmes, the implementation of innovative mobility models, and faculty exchanges.

This meeting reflects FEP’s commitment to internationalisation and the creation of synergies that promote an enriching academic experience for students and faculty members. The collaboration with the University of Alcalá aligns with a broader strategy to strengthen FEP’s presence in the European academic landscape, enhancing opportunities for excellence in learning and research.

About EUGLOH

Founded in 2019 by the Universities of Porto (Portugal), Paris-Saclay (France), Lund (Sweden), Ludwig-Maximilian of Munich (Germany), and Szeged (Hungary), the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) aims to create an “integrated European campus”, where communities from various universities can move and collaborate across education, research, and innovation in the field of global health.

In 2023, the consortium evolved into EUGLOH 2.0, which, over the next four years, will allocate more than 14 million euros to areas such as student and researcher mobility and high-level scientific cooperation.

In this second phase of the consortium, the five founding members were joined by the University of Hamburg (Germany), UiT – The Arctic University of Norway (Norway), the University of Novi Sad (Serbia), and the University of Alcalá (Spain).
