On 9 July, Porto City Council honoured a total of 46 personalities and institutions in the city with the 2024 Municipal Medals. Among those honoured, Pedro Teixeira, Professor at FEP, was awarded the Municipal Medal of Merit – Gold Grade.
Ana Pinho, a former FEP student, received the prestigious City Medal of Honour, the highest honorary title awarded by the municipality.
Alberto Castro, a former FEP professor and student, and Álvaro Nascimento, also a FEP alumnus, were also honoured with the Municipal Medal of Merit.
The Mayor of Porto, Rui Moreira, said that ‘with this honour, we hope to give due public recognition and pass on your inspiring example to new generations’.
