FEP joined the ReBOOT project, launched in June 2023 by the Municipality of Porto, in partnership with Porto Ambiente, LIPOR, ERP Portugal and Associação Porto Digital.

The aim of the project was to collect, repair and deliver end-of-life IT equipment to private social solidarity institutions (IPSS) in the city. The project stood out for its training in computer diagnosis and repair, with 222 enrolled, 83 people trained and 10 training sessions, totaling 60 hours.

With the support of various institutions, including FEP, 721 pieces of equipment were collected, which saved 34.4 tons of CO2, underlining the commitment to sustainability and digital inclusion.

The project ended on 25 July at UPTEC, with the donation of the repaired equipment to the IPSS, reinforcing the FEP’s positive impact on the community.
