On 25 and 26 February, the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) will host FJC Porto de Emprego, a dynamic, engaging, and interactive career fair, recognised as the largest and most significant student-organised recruitment event in Portugal.

Celebrating 25 years of history, this initiative aims to connect more than 70 companies and startups with recent graduates from various academic backgrounds through exhibition stands, presentations, workshops, and job and internship opportunities.

Open to all, the event is organised by FEP Junior Consulting (FJC), a junior enterprise from FEP, in collaboration with the faculty’s Career and Development Service.

As in previous years, the fair will feature the “Speed Recruitment” initiative—a five-minute interview circuit where 20 pre-selected students will have the chance to engage with 20 different companies. Additionally, all visitors will have the opportunity to participate in various workshops designed to develop analytical, social, and behavioural skills.

Companies will also have space to present their work, future goals, and corporate culture, providing students with valuable insights into different career paths.

The interaction between businesses and students extends beyond the event itself, as the fair’s digital platform facilitates the exchange of information, allowing students to explore job listings, submit applications, and streamline the recruitment process.

“Over the years, FJC Porto de Emprego has strengthened its position as a leading career event, attracting an increasing number of participants and top companies at both national and international levels,” says António Costa, Project Manager of the initiative. He adds, “This success reflects the quality of an event that reinvents itself each year to offer students the best personal and professional development opportunities.”
