On 26th October, the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) was the stage for a symbolic moment of unity and celebration among generations of alumni. FEP Alumni Day’24 brought together graduates celebrating 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and more than 35 years since entering the School.
The most represented generation at the event – the 1994 cohort – was honoured with the opportunity to plant an oak tree in the institution’s garden. Chosen for its grandeur and longevity, the tree was planted by representatives of this generation, a gesture that not only symbolises the enduring emotional and professional bond between alumni and FEP, but also reinforces the School’s commitment to environmental sustainability and the preservation of the planet.
This act of tree planting further strengthens the symbolism of the FEP Alumni Day, which, in addition to recalling significant moments in the alumni’s academic journeys, celebrates the evolution of FEP as a school that is constantly in tune with both the present and the future.
