The AIESEC office at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP) has been awarded the Business Relations Growth Award at the European conference EuroXPRO 2024, held from 19 to 23 March in Italy. The award recognises the team’s effort and dedication in expanding business partnerships, strengthening the connection between students and the job market. This achievement is even more significant considering the approximately 358 European offices.

EuroXPRO 2024 gathered around 450 participants from 39 European countries, along with guests from New Zealand, Mexico, and China. The event also saw the presence of AIESEC’s International Board, headquartered in Canada. During the conference, five of the seven members of AIESEC FEP’s Executive Board actively participated in training sessions, talks on mindset shifts, and networking opportunities. On one of the days dedicated to business relations, participants had the chance to engage with companies such as DHL, SAP, and Carter & Benson.

This recognition further reinforces FEP’s importance as a centre for the training and development of young leaders, promoting international experiences and professional growth opportunities for its students.

About AIESEC

AIESEC is the world’s largest organisation run exclusively by university students, present in over 125 countries and territories and more than 2,400 universities, with over 70,000 active members. As a partner of the United Nations in pursuing the Sustainable Development Goals, AIESEC aims to contribute to global society’s improvement through youth leadership development.

The AIESEC office at FEP, one of the first student organisations at the University of Porto, was founded on 10 February 1960. Since then, it has been a catalyst for its members’ leadership potential, promoting contact with young people worldwide through experiences within the organisation and professional exchanges.

Recognised for its excellence and rigour at both national and international levels, the AIESEC office at FEP also stood out in 2008 as the fastest-growing in absolute numbers of experiences provided among over 200 offices in Western Europe and North America. This trajectory of growth and professionalism continues to solidify its position as one of AIESEC’s leading offices in Europe.
